I've been an airline pilot for 6 years now and every week when I would get on the plane to commute to work, I had my iPhone loaded and ready to go with movies. The only problem was having to hold it. At first, I simply used my hands. I quickly learned that after about ten minutes, your hands start to lose blood flow, and your neck gets stiff from having to lean down. I also noticed that the phone gets really hot to hold. I then tried to lower the tray table and place it on there. It scratched my phone a few times, and I never got the phone to sit just right. It was either flat on the table, or falling over everytime we hit a pocket of turbulence.
I thought to myself, there has to be a better way of watching my movie. After some research on the internet, I found that there was no such accessory. So I designed, patented, invented, and manufactured the SeatBuddy. After showcasing it to a few people, I quickly learned that it could be used in more than just airplanes. It can hang from the glovebox of your car. You can hook it to your cars headrests with the velcro that is included. Instead of having to buy an expensive DVD player, if you have an iPhone or iTouch, you can now just hang it in front of you. Another great way of using it is on treadmills. A lot of times while running, my phone bounces around and gets scratched. The SeatBuddy holds it in place and protects it.
The material is a safe rubber silicone that is manufactured here in the USA. We made sure during many testing trials that the material would be thick enough to protect the phone from getting scratched and bumping around, yet flexible enough to easy install it.
